The club welcomes members of all abilities, whether simply running for fun or competing at national standard.
SAC members enjoy a friendly social scene with regular local runs, trips away to some UK and European events and monthly social nights.
Our membership has now increased to over 400 members. We have a well established club policy of looking after all our club members, especially those who are new to running.
Our club members compete at all levels in Road Running, Track and Field, Fell Running, Cross Country and Ultra Distance.
We also have a very vibrant junior section who are especially active in Track and Field events and Cross Country races.
The Club Membership runs annually from April 1st to March 31st.
We take the welfare of all our members very seriously and we are probably one of the only running clubs to offer a dedicated welfare service to our senior club members where they can have an informal chat with one of our welfare officers and/or attend a group chat over drink. This has proven to be a great help to some of our club members, especially those who have been unable to attend the regular club nights or social events.
We have an well established safeguarding policy with regards to the junior members. All our run leaders and coaches are fully UK(A) qualified which includes the mandatory dbs checks.
